FIRST LEGO League Jr® is a team-based science and engineering program for kids in Kindergarten through 4th-grade. In groups of 2-6 members, guided by 2 adult coach-mentors, teams explore a scientific challenge. They then create a LEGO® model to reflect their ideas on what they have learned. Each LEGO model has a motor and moving part. Models may be programmed using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 or MINDSTORMS® systems. Teams share their experience on a Show Me Poster and at their local expos.
FIRST LEGO League Jr® Discovery is a small team science and engineering exploration program for kids age 3 through 6 (Pre-K through 1st-grade). In groups of up to 4 members, guided by their coach-mentors teams explore building with a purpose related to the scientific challenge of their FIRST LEGO League Jr peers. The create repeatedly with LEGO Duplo to learn about working together and building their ideas as a team. Teams will use the LEGO STEAM Park set along with their Inspire set, team meeting guide, and engineering workbook to create at each meeting. Teams will gather together to conclude their season with a final building challenge.
