Curricula That Can be Used with Students and Team Members

  • Videos for Team Members
    • A collection of YouTube videos that will give team members insights into using Word Blocks to solve mission challenges
  • Season-Independent Lessons Using Small Printable Mat
    • One of the best ways for team members to learn how to program a LEGO robot is to have simple challenges with guidance on how they might solve those challenges. And, these challenges can performed on a 2-foot by 3-foot mat, allowing small groups or individuals to learn the skills they'll need for the annual challenge on the full-size mat.
    • With this in mind, ORTOP has developed a set of simple lessons that feature such challenges that are backed up by short videos that give hints on how to solve the challenges.
    • Follow the link above to find out more.
    • These lessons use the videos linked above to introduce team members to similar challenges and how they can be solved.
  • Prime Lessons
    • A collection of slide decks covering a wide range of topics on SPIKE Prime featuring the Word Blocks programming language
    • Also covers using LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor instead of SPIKE Prime.
  • Carnegie Mellon Curricula
    • Coding and Computational Thinking with SPIKE Prime
    • Coding and Computational Thinking with Virtual SPIKE Prime
    • RoboCamp with Virtual SPIKE Prime
