FIRST LEGO League Challenge Robot Design and Building

The two current LEGO sets that are used for designing and building FIRST LEGO League robots share many parts. Nevertheless, because their main bricks also known as hubs and their motors are different the robots built from them tend to look quite different.

SPIKE Prime

The SPIKE Prime set is supported by free downloadable software that includes instructions for building a variety of robots including two designs that can be useful starting points for FIRST LEGO League robots.

In addition to the instructions that come with the app, LEGO Education has posted information about FIRST LEGO League missions on their web site.

Mindstorms EV3

The booklet that comes with the Mindstorms EV3 kit includes some basic designs that are good starting points.
