All FIRST Teams who wish to participate in Oregon must register with both FIRST and ORTOP each season*. The FIRST fee helps cover the expenses of program development, while the ORTOP fee helps cover the expenses of program delivery. Both FIRST and the local Program Delivery Partners like ORTOP and FIRST Washington use contributions from corporate and individual donors to help reduce or eliminate these costs when needed.
For the 2020-21 season, we will be asking teams to pay a one time Season Registration Fee. This will cover a team’s participation in a qualifying event or league, as well as participation in any non-competitive programming, such as workshops, kickoff events, FIRST Fair, etc. The value teams will receive is much the same as it has always been, but we hope this model will be simpler and more flexible in the long run.
Additionally, we have temporarily reduced this season’s fees below the qualifying event fees from last year to help reduce the financial barriers to teams. As we have in the past few years, there will be a sliding scale in place to reduce the registration fee even further for those teams in need.**
Use the links below to register and pay via credit card. If you would like to pay via a Purchase Order or Check, Please download and complete this form and email it to payments@ortop.org.
