FIRST LEGO League Challenge Overview
Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-14 or grades 4 through 8 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem. The theme for the 2024-2025 season is SUBMERGED. Starting and Registering a Team
There are several steps to starting and registering an FIRST LEGO League Challenge team.

- National registration The national registration opened in May 2023. The national fee for the 2023-24 season is $250 per team.

Robot Design
Your team will prepare a short presentation on your robot design, programs, and strategy.

Robot Game
Your team will practice the 2.5-minute matches to complete as many missions as possible.

Your team will prepare a 5-minute presentation to explain your Innovation Project.
